Details: The Global Information Systems Program Specialist will be responsible for managing and advancing iJETís incorporation of next level Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) capabilities into all intelligence production. Such a candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of GIS capabilities available on the market and be able to develop near and long term strategies to bring scalable GIS capabilities into intelligence analysis production. The ultimate goal is to enrich the end-user experience with actionable intelligence.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Conduct feasibility studies or identify system, time, equipment, or cost requirements for Geospatial Enterprise projects or tasks. Make recommendations regarding implications of new Geospatial software, equipment, architecture or applications for both Geospatial mapping, imagery, and data visualization.

· Provide Geospatial support and advice on the appropriate software licensing to acquire to create a geospatial platform across the organization.

· Assist in implementing standards, processes, and procedures for Geospatial applications across the enterprise.

· Assist in managing the evolution of complex system requirements including use cases, wireframes and other design artifacts that can be used by the software development team to create end user products.

· Provide liaison support across multiple departments to support web-mapping intelligence related services for multiple User Defined Operation Pictures (including mobile).

· Research, integrate, and test current and future geospatial and related systems to advance iJETís geospatial vision.

· Work with Product Management team to provide internal support and training for iJET Geospatial software users.

· Interact with account managers and sales and clients for the purposes of understanding requirements and supporting training as required.



Education Requirements

· Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Geography or related engineering, physical, social or computer science.



Work Experience

· 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and Administration work related to geospatial systems.



Skills

· Experience with the ESRI suite, OpenGeo Suite (Boundless), Geo Server, Oracle Spatial, GES (Google Earth Pro, Google Maps Engine and GIS (QGIS, Grass, GeoDa).

· Experience with and knowledge of advanced relational database concepts.

· Experience and a strong understanding of the strategy, processes, networks and mapping services related to geospatial systems.

· Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to software development team on geospatial integration.

· Ability to operate successfully in a team environment and with clients and potential clients.

· Good communication skills; tact, effective listening skills and follow through.
